EPA & TECHNICAL TIPS: Small Changes Can Yield Big Time Savings – Protect rather than remove trim

Eliminate the cost of removing and installing moldings, the potential damage to moldings, and the labor to remove paint lines on existing moldings by simply protecting them properly during the painting process. By using the Norton "one-size-fits-all" trim masking tape #06169, you can lift the molding away from the surface to be painted and protect the molding from paint and overspray. Trim tape provides full coverage without paint "bridging" to the molding and works well on flush mount windshield, sidelight and back glass moldings. Norton trim tape is perforated for easy tear-off and is flexible to follow contours and tight curves.

Norton Trim Tape comes in a self-dispensing box and is very easy to use. Just slide the firm plastic under the molding or double fold the strips (9mm and 11mm) for greater support on rigid moldings, pull evenly to clear the molding from the surface to be painted, and then press the tape to the glass or panel. A lifting tab allows for the tape to be removed easily after painting and thereʼs no release liner to create extra waste in the shop that takes time to clean up. Norton trim masking tape will withstand a bake cycle up to 250° F (121° C) for 40 minutes.
